Senior Architectural Technologist – UK Commercial
The candidates must be Revit savvy and have a minimum of 4 years working within commercial UK sectors. They must have a strong knowledge of construction and technical detailing, excellent communication skills and experience in liaising and coordinating with consultants and contractors alike. dn-a offers a good work life balance, and opportunity to progress within the company. The individuals will preferably have a UK degree or equivalent in Architectural Technology or Architecture. The Senior Technician will have the skillset to quickly progress to Project Lead. Salaries based upon level of experience.
- Able to deliver on both the technical and design aspects of architecture
- Ability to work on projects from delivery stages 3 -7
- Co-ordination of project including preparation of tender and construction documents and drawings
- Ability to work closely with main contractors and consultants
- Good understanding of planning and of building regulations within the UK industry
- Experience in residential, retail and commercial sectors is an advantage
- Assist on Feasibilities, as and when they arise
- Contributing to project and design reviews
- Revit and AutoCAD proficient
- Knowledge in a range of software to include Adobe suite and SketchUp
Architectural Designer/Technician
Architect/technician with 5 years experience with 5 years plus of Revit who is able to lead the transition of dn-a from an autocad platform to a Revit platform. The candidate must have very strong software skills, be well versed in Autocad and 3D modelling, have experience working independently in a commercial setting on and off-site. The candidate must have a minimum 5/6 years post qualification experience and be educated to Part 2 or 3 level.
- Coordinate design and construction information with team members, external consultants, suppliers and contractors.
- Work closely with the Associate Directors on the formulation and running of the BIM Team.
- Contribute to team and internal design & technical review meetings.
- Improve and build on personal, interpersonal and team building skills.
- Prepare drawings, calculations, schedules, specifications & information, as required and in line with general QA and best practice procedures.
- Attend site, client + other meetings, where necessary.
- Assist on Feasibilities, as and when they arise.
- Assist / contribute to extra-curricular ‘Forums’ / CPD’s.
