The Church Road proposals comprise a residential-led 5 storey development with ground retail/ work units and residential apartments above, on the former multi-storey car park site. The development fronts Church Road with direct access to all units and a consolidated access into the car park areas, to the rear. The introduction of a flexible retail/ work space at the ground floor level enhances the street scape and the public realm at this key location.

The development provides 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments alongside 81 car spaces (provision for 50 electric charging) and 25 covered cycle spaces. All apartment are again intended to boost Spelthorne Borough Council’s affordable rented provision, targeted at local people on the Housing Waiting Register including key workers.

The building seeks to enhance, integrate and contribute to the street front nature of the area and context. To achieve this, the front elevation facing the main road has been broken down to reflect scale and massing in adjacent developments, with an under-croft entrance leading to the car park at the rear. A landscaped external amenity space sits at first floor podium level.
